Wi-Fi
Dedicated, personal Wi-Fi is becoming increasingly popular. A low-profile external aerial is fitted to enable a much better signal than a phone, with a router, and it works similarly to home or office Wi-Fi. Connectivity to multiple devices for streaming music, Spotify, Apple music, Amazon music, etc and TV (Smart TV required or Amazon Firestick), Netflix, YouTube, iPlayer, connecting to laptops, phones, Xbox/PlayStation, etc.
There are various types, either 4G or 5G and high-speed downloading. They come with a SIM and are inexpensive to run.
It can be paused if the van is not used during the winter months, and local sims can be used when abroad if required.
Navigation
Dedicated Motorhome audio and navigation systems from Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood are becoming commonplace, taking into account vehicle size when calculating a route and being able to search for campsites, fuel stations, motorhome parking and pitches across Europe. These often include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB digital radio and up to 11-inch screens for ease of use and connecting reversing cameras, etc. Suitable for most motorhomes based on Fiat/Peugeot, Mercedes Sprinter, Vito, VW Transporter, Ford Transit and Custom, etc.
As well as better connectivity and navigation, the sound is improved over the manufacturer’s unit due to more power, better quality audio components and audio adjustment to optimise it for the vehicle and personal preference.
When fitting a new unit, we often connect it to the leisure battery and fit a switch so that it will work on the key when using it as a daily driver, but when parked, the audio works without the key in the ignition.

Audio
We often improve the audio in motorhomes with upgraded speakers, sound deadening, subwoofers, rear speakers, etc, over the normal entry-level audio of the base commercial vehicle. This can utilise the original manufacturer’s audio/infotainment or retrofitted head unit/ stereo and be discreetly fitted.
Applying sound deadening to the doors can make a big difference in audio performance, as well as reducing road noise. Audio enhancements are applicable to more or less any vehicle from a small Citroen Berlingo, small motorhome, Nissan NV 200, including electric versions, VW transporters, through to A-class coach-built.
Solar Panels
Our experienced engineers are able to offer a high-quality installation service. We are able to advise on the size of panel required to suit the customer’s needs and provide full after-sales support. We are able to offer simple single-panel installations on your Caravan or Motorhome or multi-panel systems if more energy is required. We offer a range of regulators with monitoring of the solar panel systems.
Reverse Camera Safety Systems
Cameras and monitors are available to install on motorhomes and Caravans to provide safe reversing and driving.
High-quality wide-angle lens cameras with night vision are available in single or dual camera head format. These can be connected to either an existing in-dash screen, stand standalone monitor or more commonly a rear view monitor located in the original rear view mirror location.
360 Degree Cameras
We supply and install 360 Degree camera systems, which give a bird’s-eye view of the vehicle. Cameras are installed at the front, rear, and sides of the vehicle, and then the cameras are calibrated so that these four images are stitched together.
Split Charge Systems
Additional battery and split charge system installation is provided by the team at Huets.

Caravan and Motorhome Tracking
We are an authorised dealer for Trackstar and Scorpion Leisure vehicle tracking.
Thatcham-approved Category 6 Caravan and Motorhome Tracking systems communicate using secure GSM and GPS to monitor your leisure vehicle. This is linked to a control centre which will liaise with the Police and yourself in the event of an alert.
U.K. and European coverage is provided as standard.
Security
Alarm systems are available for all motorhomes and Caravans to give protection against theft of the vehicle or contents.
The systems are specified to meet your own individual requirements. Protection of all doors and lockers, internal movement protection which can be activated when the van is inhabited, which is provided by infrared P.I.R., ultrasonics, or both, connected to a battery backup alarm system.
Insurance-approved 2 to 1 Thatcham systems are available to be armed and disarmed with your original Motorhome remote control.
Autowatch Caravan alarms provide internal movement protection, door and locker coverage and leg sensors along with its own battery backup.
