 FOUR DECADES AND GOING STRONG
Huets have been in the mobile electronics business since the early Sixties. Back then it was drainpipe trousers, the Beatles and 8-track. Now we have CD, DVD, MP3 and iPod, LCD screens & rear-seat Video Games consoles.
We have hands-free phones, installed and portable Navigation systems, and a full in-car office suite if you need to do serious business on the go. We also specialise in kitting out limousines with the kind of AV system that's guaranteed to put your passengers into party mode.
It all started when Pierre E Huet began selling and repairing TVs and radios. Quite how the company moved into specialising in car radio back in 1960 is one of those things now shrouded in the mists of time. But there we were, when British pop music ruled the world, installing in-car record players, valve radios and eight-track cartridge players. Imagine what people must have thought back then when they saw a record player in a car!
Of course things have moved on tremendously since those days, and we've not only kept up with the latest innovations, we've often proudly led the way. We've chosen the best products on the market and used our considerable experience to get the best out of those products.
We currently employ eleven staff, in addition to the three partners who keep this very much a family business with a friendly, family approach.
Times and fashions have changed, but whatever the decade, Huets has been leading the way with the latest technology and the skills required to "Pimp my Ride" and turn your vehicle into a mobile entertainment paradise or a well-equipped mobile office.
But if total transformation of your car isn't quite what you had in mind, don't worry - we take on relatively simple upgrades that often return a surprising improvement. A speaker upgrade is a very popular way of making a big improvement even to the sound from the car's standard stereo system, and adding things like hands-free control of your phone not only keeps you safe and legal but makes it much nicer to use your phone when you need to.
